Rickey Gordon Reese, 60, died June 19, 2016. He was Town Manager of Chase City, member of Virginia Association of Town and Cities, former board member of South Central Fair Association, attended Mecklenburg Baptist Church and was a member of First Baptist Church, a former member of The Chase City Volunteer Rescue Squad and treasurer and member of Whitetail Hunt Club. He was preceded in death by his father, Gordon Reese. Rickey is survived by his wife of 31 years, Juanita Adams Reese, son and daughter-in-law, Tyler and Melissa Reese, daughter, Shelby Garrett and husband, Todd, daughter, Terri Pennell, mother, Charlotte Toombs Reese, sister, Tammy Newton and husband, Gary, grandchildren, Bryce, Brayden, Cambden, Aidan and Ashton, nephew, Jacob Newton, aunt, Ruby Chumney. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at Wood Funeral Service. Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church with  Rev. Jason Hay and Dr. Tom Cribb officiating. Interment will follow in Woodland Cemetery.
