Dear Mrs. Blankenship, John, Jodi, and family, I'm praying for you at this painful time. I'm deeply sorry. I was just thinking of Mr. Blankenship's laugh. I recall it as fun-loving and mischievous. When Jodi told me how he laughed when he saw my son at daycare as an infant and knew immediately that he was mine, I could picture it clearly....the same as it was when he told the story of how I wouldn't eat the broccoli he made me when I spent the night as a girl, because a tiny garden worm had been cooked on it. It was joyful and distinctive, and I pray that God will comfort you with His presence and this and so many other cherished memories. Sharing in your grief and hoping in Christ, Donna

Shirley, and all family, May God's blessings surround all of you with His loving arms during the days ahead. John was such a special person. I will miss our phone calls and the fellowship at the Blankenship reunions. Sending prayers and love.

John was a very interesting and caring person, he lived in Exeland WI for a few years and he attended the same church as I did, I got to know John and always enjoyed my time with him, I Thank GOD for putting John in my Life as a very true and dear friend. Therefore we have been buried with him by baptism into death, so that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life. Roman 6:4

I am sure going to miss talking with my Uncle John, he was special. To the family, you are in my thoughts and prayers, may the days be easier for you through Gods hands and your faith. Shirley, you were one of those ladies that made you feel at home especially on our trips to see you and John, love you!

JB was a great family man, and a dedicated former military serviceman. Also, the JB I will always remember was a funny man who always had a smile on his face...and loved a good prank that he would start laughing about first, and then those around him had no choice but to laugh at it also. He loved his Beloved Shirley and his children and grandchildren. His passing will leave an emptiness in many people's hearts. Rest in peace, JB. Enjoy your new heavenly home where there is no sickness, no pain, no COVID and eternal light and happiness. Love, Brenda
