My sincere sympathy the family of Boots. I only had a few occasions to talk with him mostly about politics or animals, but it was always interesting. I enjoyed his columns so very much. I'm sorry for your loss.

Cheryl, I was so saddened to hear that Dallas had made his final journey. He was a dear friend and always had something supportive or funny to say that lifted everyone's spirits. Twenty-five years ago he introduced himself to me as Keith when he came to do an article about the opening of Macallan More. He was always taking pictures and would drop by weekly to check in on us to see what was new and happening. When I left the Gardens and moved I lost touch a bit, but always enjoyed reading his columns. He will be sorely missed, for he was truly unique and had a kind and gentle soul. I know he is in heaven now, surrounded by animals and is playing his guitar with all the Greats! May his memory be a comfort and a blessing to you, his family and to all who knew and loved him.

Dallas, you were a force. You were a true friend and part of this family. My mom lived you to the moon and back. I loved our discussions about music, Dr.Who and just crazy things. I know you loved one silly donkey here at the rescue. You were always so supportive of Blue Horse, and wrote countless wonderful articles about the animals here. R.I.P. my friend, you leave behind a legacy of stories, opinions and life. Love you my friend!
