To Buffy's dear family, I would like to express my deepest sympathies during this time of great loss. One of my best memories is working with Buffy as a grade partner at PVMS. She was a great teacher and friend. Each day was a good day as Buffy always gave abundantly to her students and co-workers. Buffy, may the angels lead you into paradise. Rest in peace, dear friend.

I am so saddened to hear of Shelby (Buffy’s) passing. I have such fond memories of working with her when I was Language Arts Coordinator for MCPS, and she was a reading specialist. Her smile and laugh were both infectious, and she always approached our literacy tasks with positivity and whatever she could do to benefit her school, her colleagues, and above all her students. Prayers are lifted for her family and friends.
