Willard Lee Smith, 82, of Boydton, died March 29, 2013. He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, a member of Boydton Baptist Church, a member of American Legion Post 43 and Boydton Volunteer Fire Department and a huge New York Yankees fan. He was the widower of Neva Jean Smith and was also preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Nanette Smith. He is survived by his son, Lee Smith of Richmond, grandchildren, Olivia Smith and Jake Smith, sister, Alice Ligon and husband, Bobby of Buffalo Junction, sisters-in-law, Marion Lenhart of Saxe, Mary Queen of Baskerville, Margaret Lenhart of Chase City and Reba Lenhart of Red Oak. Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday at Boydton Baptist Church Cemetery. The family wishes to especially thank the staff of Covenant Columns Manor for their compassionate care.
