Pamela Smith Boyd, 48, of Chase City, died June 9, 2013. She was the daughter of the late Woodson W. Smith, Sr. and Marion O. Smith. She was a former employee of Boydton Medical and Dental Clinic and was employed with Virginia Center for Behavior Rehabilitation. She is survived by her son, John L. “Jay” Boyd II, of Chase City; brothers, Woodson “Woody” Smith, Jr. and wife, Lora of Wylliesburg; Danny Ray Smith and wife, Sherry of South Boston; Ronnie Smith and wife, Dawn of Haymarket; sister, Patricia “Pat” Hawkins of Clarksville; fiancée, Rodney Morris of Farmville, special friends, Annette Darden, Kathy Rickman and Wanda Thompson. The family will receive friends 7:00-8:30 Monday at Wood Funeral Service and where services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday. Interment will follow in Hebron United Methodist Church Cemetery.
