Mrs. Lottie M. Loftis, 99, passed away at the home of her son, Paul Dean Loftis in Clarksville July 14, 2014. She lived in a trailer in his yard for the last 40 years until December 2013. She was born in Person County, NC July 4, 1915 and moved to Mecklenburg County in 1943 where she helped raise tobacco and also worked for Burlington Industries for approximately 25 years. She was a member of Public Fork Christian Church and was married to Flint N. Loftis who passed away in 1994. She is survived by a daughter, JoAnne M. Webster and husband, Bob of Roanoke, a son, Paul Dean Loftis and wife, Betty of Clarksville, 6 grandsons, Jackie, Jeff, Jimmy, Jerry, and Joey Martin, all of Salem, and Paul Dwayne Loftis of Tulsa, OK, 13 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the home at all times. Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Bluestone Baptist Church Cemetery.
