Eva Hipps Tuck, age 95, of Chase City, died August 1, 2014. She was the daughter of the late John and Fanny Hipps, the widow of George Tuck and also preceded in death by a grandson, Larry Tuck and a daughter-in-law, Judy Tuck. She was a lifelong member of Black Branch Baptist Church. Eva’s goal in life was to lead others to Christ. She is survived by her children, David Tuck (Cathy) of Roanoke Rapids, NC, Barry Tuck of Bessimer City, NC, Shirley Crenshaw (E. J.) of Seaford, Del., Celeste Simmons (Henry) of Roanoke Rapids, NC, Ellis Tuck (Lisa) of Chase City, brother, Alton Hipps (Mildred) of Roanoke, 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends 3:00-5:00 p.m. Sunday at Wood Funeral Service. Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday at Black Branch Baptist Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery.
