Ardelle Ashworth Turner, 89, of Chase City, died September 4, 2014. She was a retired employee of Jonbil and a member of Mt. Horeb Baptist Church. She was the widow of Harry W. Turner and was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Turner McPeters. She is survived by her daughters, Lucy Dianne Turner and Barbara Jean Turner, of Chase City, brothers, Lewis Ashworth of Chase City, Uriel Ashworth of South Hill, sister, Ida Mildred Callahan of Chase City, grandson, Christopher Pennington of Columbus, MT, great grandchildren, Angel Noble and Drew Noble, four great-great grandchildren. Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Wood Funeral Chapel with the Rev. A. C. Wells officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service.
