Christine H. Park of Boydton, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2014 after a brief illness. She was born March 10, 1927 to the late Alvin C. and Hettie S. Hoyle. She was predeceased by her husband, Renfrew H. Park, Jr., a sister, Edna Harris and brothers, Quentin Hoyle and Zane Hoyle. She was a longtime member and Treasurer of Saint James Episcopal Church and a volunteer in the Gift Shop at Community Memorial Healthcenter for many years. Her hobbies included reading, bird watching and puzzles. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Renfrew H. Park, III and Teresa, two grandchildren, Renfrew H. Park, IV and Thomas G. Park, Laura Brook and Maliah Rose of the home, and her beloved dog, Maggie. The family will receive friends at the home of her son, Renfrew H. Park III at all times. Graveside memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Saint James Episcopal Church with Pastor Charles Davis officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Boydton Life Station or Boydton Volunteer Fire Department. Wood Funeral Service is serving the family.
