Mrs. Helen Wilkerson Dodson, 87, of Chase City and formerly of Richmond, died December 29, 2014. She was the widow of Earl Dodson, a retired employee with Markel Insurance Service and a member of Centenary United Methodist Church. Helen was also preceded in death by her sister, Bunice Mull, a brother, Hamit Wilkerson, and a niece, Deborah Woodson. She is survived by her nieces, Sheila Seamans and husband, Danny of Chase City, Elaine Womack and husband, Marvin, Phyllis Wilkerson, nephews, Willis Mull, and Fred “Pee-Wee” Mull and wife, Nancy of Chase City. Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Wood Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
