John P. Lawford, age 85, of Boydton, died June 4, 2015. He was a retired engineer, specializing in Rock Quarry Design. John was a Navy and Air Force veteran of WWII and a member of American Legion Post 79. He is preceded in death by a son, Michael Lawford and is  survived  is his wife, Joyce Lawford, his children, Dewayne Lawford and wife, Sue, Craig Lawford and wife, Irene, Lea Kapsch and husband, Mike, Michele Lawford and Cindy Lawford, 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Graveside services will be private.
