H. Bernice Phillips Benner, age 95 of Saxe, died July 11, 2015. She was the widow of William J. Benner, Sr., a member of Lebanon United Methodist Church, and the Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Benner was a retired educator with the Hamburg N. J. school system. Surviving are her son, William J. “ Bill” Benner and wife, Donna, grandchildren, William Benner, III, and Michelle Miller, and great grandson, Joshua Benner. Arrangements are incomplete at this time, but a memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. Wood Funeral Service, Chase City, is serving the family.
