Rev. Lawrence Byron “Larry” Tucker, 89, of Clarksville, passed away February 2, 2017. Lawrence was a retired U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. and a retired minister with The Assembly of God. He is survived by his wife, Bettye S. Tucker, daughters, Lisa Tucker of Washington, D.C., Sue Vaughan and husband Joseph of Nelson, sons, Curtis Sheldon and wife Lisa, of Skipwith; Franklin Sheldon of Clarksville, grandchildren, Todd Vaughan, Heather Rogers, Bryan Sheldon, and Mary Sheldon, 3 great grandchildren, sisters, Unita King of Bristol Fla; Lavon Linn of Jacksonville, Fla, brother, Earl Tucker of St. Cloud, Fla, and sister-in–law, Dorothy Tucker of Mayo, Fla. Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Wood Funeral Chapel with Rev. Roger Williamson, Rev. Rodney Barwick, and Rev. John Govani officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery. Wood Funeral Service, Chase City, is serving the family.
