Pozie Hugh Lankford, 90, of Chase City, passed away on February 27, 2017. Hugh was a retired Civil Service employee, a US Navy Veteran (Korean Conflict),  a member of Concord Baptist Church and American Legion Post # 43. He is survived by his sons, Robert Lankford and wife Wendy of Red Oak, Mark Lankford and wife Angie of Clover, step daughter, Jane Kuhn of Bedford, grandchildren, Cassie Lankford, Chad Lankford, Heather Lankford, great grandchild, Scarlett Hatcher, and special friend, Rachel Caknipe. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening 7:00 – 8:30 at Wood Funeral Service. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Concord Baptist Church with Rev. John Mann and Rev. Billy Tatum officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery with Military Honors by American Legion Post # 43.
