Evelyn Toombs Ellington, 83, of Skipwith, passed away November 6, 2017. She was the widow of Bobbie Ellington and a retired employee of Craddock Terry Shoe Corporation. Evelyn was a member of New Hope Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. She is survived by her son, Michael Ellington, grandson, Robert Ellington, granddaughter, Priscilla Ellington, great-granddaughters, Katie Ellington and Abigail Gordon, sisters, Agnes Brankley and Charlotte Reese, sisters-in-law, Marie Lenhart and Sue Toombs. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at New Hope Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
