Betty C. Claiborne, 79, of Chase City, passed away November 17, 2017. Betty was the widow of Roy Claiborne. She was a retired employee of Craddock-Terry Shoe Corporation and a member of Wylliesburg Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by a son Michael Kent Claiborne and a grandson Adam Davis. Betty is survived by her daughters, Debbie Davis of Clarksville, Angie Inge, and husband Barry, of Chase City, son, Mark Claiborne, and wife, Melissa, of Boydton, sister, Juanita Weston, of Red Oak, grandchildren, Joey Davis, Heather Davis, Randi Jones, Roy Claiborne, Amanda Medley, Sarah Inge, and 6 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Wood Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. at Wood Funeral Chapel, and at all other times, the home of Angie and Barry Inge.
