Christine Carter Simmons, age 73, of Chase City passed away October 13, 2018. She was a retired seamstress with Virginia Homes, and a member of Union Level Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, James Simmons, daughters, Eunice Williams and Claudia Whitaker, brother, John Henry Carter, grandchildren, Christina Whitaker, Gabrielle Bullock, Lewis Jones, Felecia Bullock, and John Jones, great grandchildren, Makayla House, Tyson Clary, and Kaleb Clary. Graveside services will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.
