Hilda Cook Pennington, age 81, of Chase City, passed away, May 9, 2019. She was the daughter of the late Kermit and Ethel Cook and was  preceded in death by a brother, Jim Cook, brother in law, Donnie Baldwin, nephews, Greg Delp, Dale Baldwin, and a niece Judy Moore. Hilda was a retired Certified Nursing Assistant.  She is survived by her daughters, Tamera Clary and husband, Rick, Pamela Krosmico and husband, John, Teresa Adams and husband, James, son, Philip Pennington Jr, brother, Darrel Cook and wife Stella, sister, Myrna Baldwin, sister in law, Charlotte Cook, grandchildren, Trisha Bates, Amanda Bates, Ashley Kenney, James Adams, Kaitlyn Collins, Jenna Oliver, Savanna Pennington, Philip Pennington,  great grandchildren, Kelsey Hatcher, Kyle Hatcher, Aniya Boyd, Charley Oliver, Jeremiah Johnson, Ella Kenney,  a great- great grandchild, Aubrey Hatcher, and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Wood Funeral Chapel on Saturday, May 11, at 1:00 PM. Interment will be private at Woodland Cemetery. Wood Funeral Service, Chase City is serving the family.
