Mr. Wilson Garland “Sox” Allgood, age 100, of Boydton, passed away March 24, 2020. “Sox” was the son of the late Benjamin Creed Allgood and Pattie Lee Allgood. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Allgood, 8 brothers and sisters- in- law, and a daughter in law Ida Love Allgood. “Sox” was a member of Christ Chapel Episcopal Church, and a member of the Boydton Vol. Fire Department for over 60 years. He is survived by his son, James Harry Allgood of Boydton, a granddaughter, Mary Jane Saxton and husband, Harold of Boydton, great grandchildren, Kristen Rapier, Zachary Rapier, Walker Saxton, Camilla Saxton, and Alex Saxton; fiancee,Gladys Lewis of South Boston, numerous nieces and nephews, and all of Gladys Lewis’ family. A private graveside service will be held 2:00pm Thursday at Christ Chapel Episcopal Church Cemetery. Wood Funeral Service is serving the family.
