Hugh Gene Whitlow, age 77 of Chase City, passed away December 13, 2020. He was a retired employee with the Town of Chase City. Hugh was the son of the late Hugh Bryant Whitlow and Nannie Conner Whitlow, and also preceded in death by his sisters, Helen Francis and Lada Oakley Tussy, and a son-in-law, Gerald Clifton Robinette. Surviving are his wife, Mary A. Whitlow; children, Hugh “Bug” Whitlow, Jr.  and Christy Robinette; brother, Jesse Whitlow; sister, Katherine Robertson; 4 grandchildren, Shannon Whitlow, Jamie Robinette, Michael Robinette, and Kristin Whitlow; and 2 great grandchildren.
