Early Wednesday morning, January 13, our beloved mother, Eunice Haire Hewitt went to be with the Lord. She was born in Lillington, NC on July 24, 1931 to the late Maggie S. Haire and Duncan Brite Haire. She was 89. Eunice raised seven children and worked as a nurse and nurse’s aide. She loved bowling, her beloved bingo, and her family. She is predeceased by her parents, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters. Left to cherish her memory are her sister Esther Price; sons, Joseph Hewitt (Joan), Larry Hewitt, Eddie Hewitt (Martha), Jonathan Schafer (Keri), Robert Schafer; daughters, Patricia Richey (James), Teresa Inge (A.J.),   16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. A graveside celebration of life will be held 2:00 pm Saturday at Public Fork Christian Church, 1720 Jeb Stuart Hwy, (Rt 92), Red Oak, Virginia 23964.
