Doyle Cleveland “Pee Wee” Watkins, age 57 of Chase City passed away June 24, 2021. He was the son of the late Alexander and Bessie Henry Watkins and also preceded in death by a brother, Eddie Watkins. “Pee Wee” was a retired corrections officer with the Virginia Dept. of Corrections and an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.
Surviving are his children. Brittney Dodson, Shelby Watkins, Samantha Watkins, and Jacob Watkins; brothers: Alexander Watkins, Jr., Milton Watkins, Al Watkins, Robert Simmons; sister, Dominique Simmons-Gregory; granddaughters, Summer Faith Amos and Ember Autumn Inman, and a host of nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Monday at Berean Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects and view at Wood Funeral Service from 12:00-5:00 pm Sunday.
