Stephanie Y.G. Hunter, 78 of Chase City, VA passed away on August 15, 2021. She was the daughter of Sidney Samuel Greene, Jr. and Lola F. Greene. She was born in Salisbury, NC. She was a graduate of Livingston College, her father’s and mother’s alma mater. She was a dedicated wife and mother.
She is survived by her loving husband Andrew L. Hunter, daughters Leigh Smith (Harold Smith), Tanya Hunter (Michael Hartenstein), and Stacy Hunter (Jamal Northern), and a cousin Larry. She leaves behind 6 grandchildren – Justice, Kyle, Dakota, Avery, Reid, and Drew along with a countless extended family members and friends.
Stephanie enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She always put everyone else first. She was a quiet person, but was the center of her family. She was a kind, supportive, and patient person who never complained about anything. She was an amazing wife to her husband; and a loving and adoring mother to her children. Her greatest joy in life was being a grandmother to her grandchildren. Our hearts are broken; and there is a hole in our hearts which will never be filled. She will be missed dearly by her friends. The Lord has added an angel to his kingdom that will watch over us until we meet again. Services will be private.
