Rev. Dan R. Harris, age 68, of Eastville, and formerly of Chase City, passed away December 26, 2021. He is survived by his wife, Becky Vaughan Harris of Eastville, (formerly South Boston) daughter, Katherine Harris Fisher and husband Brad Thomas Fisher of Nathalie; son, Daniel Brian Harris and wife Katie Boyd Harris of Forest; step-daughter, Amy Morgan Holt and Jeremy Johnson of North Carolina; grandchildren, Bryton Axle Fisher and Ryker Thomas Fisher of Nathalie, Mason Causey Harris and Jackson Reid Harris of Forest, Kayla Sage Johnson and Hunter Chase Johnson, of North Carolina; mother: Virginia Hudson Harris, of Chase City. sister: Janet Harris, of Raleigh NC, brother, Rodney Hudson and wife Dolores Hudson of Clarksville, and children, Elizabeth and Jason Glaze, Nathan Hudson, Eli Hudson, Noah Hudson, Emma Hudson,; niece, Heather Harris, and many other extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, John R. Harris of Chase City, and brother, Dean Harris of South Boston, and nephew John Allen Harris of Richmond.
Rev. Dan Harris was an active member of Cheriton Baptist Church in Cheriton, VA where he served as the Worship Leader, Choir Director and Webmaster for the last 13 years. Dan loved music. His voice and gift of being able to sing and play the guitar, piano and most any musical instrument, touched so many lives. Dan loved his family, his wife, his children and grandchildren, more than life itself. But most of all, Dan loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Graveside services will be held 2 PM Friday at Aarons Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
