Thomas Edward “Tommy” Lawson, Sr. age 75, of Chase City passed away October 8, 2022. He was the son of the late William and Christine Lawson, and also preceded in death by a son, Scotty Lawson and a sister, Donishia Lawson. Tommy was a retired employee of Food Lion and an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Surviving is his wife of 52 years, Brenda Lawson; sons, Thomas Lawson, Jr. and wife Carrie, and William “Eddie” Lawson and wife, Brenda; sisters, Christy Jackson and husband, Paul, and Melissa Jackson; grandchildren, Kayla King, Dylan Lawson, Daryl Lawson, and Morgan Lawson; great grandchildren, Caroline Lawson, Benson King, and Hensley King; sister-in-law, Sheila Pulley; brother-in-law, Danny Duffer and wife, Rhonda; nieces, Raven Chumney, Samantha Throckmorton, Sabrina Crutchfield, Kristen Horner, Cindy Burwell, Jerri Lynn Pulley, and Haley Duffer, and nephew, Chris Jackson. Also surviving is his “Faithful Companion” Sissy, and his friends at Sundae’s Restaurant. The family will receive friends at the home at all times.
