Doris Ann Hazelwood, age 71, of Boydton passed away July 19, 2023. Doris was a hard worker, she loved nature and reading the bible. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harrison & Katherine Hazelwood; her longtime companion, Roger Powell; brothers and sisters, Isaac Hazelwood, Harry Hazelwood, Joe Hazelwood, Jesse Hazelwood, Mack Hazelwood, Ricky Clay. Surviving is her brothers and sisters, Rachel Higgins, Hampton Hazelwood (Peggy), Bradley Hazelwood (Gail), Nellie Snead, Jackie Hazelwood (Cheryl), Victor Hazelwood, Carolyn Wright (Richard), Glenn Hazelwood (Betty), and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, & great nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Baptist Church, 9040 Trottinridge Rd. Chase City, Va. 23924. Graveside services will be held at Woodland Cemetery 4:00p.m. Friday, July 21, 2023.
