Gary Wayne Burns, age 74, of Chase City passed away February 28, 2025. Gary was a lifelong member of Salem Christian Church, a retired employee of Mecklenburg Electric Cooperative, and a member of Black Water Hunt Club. He was the son of the late Andrew Dell Burns and Helen Louise Wallace Burns.  Surviving is his wife, Annette Burns; son, Brian Burns (Trina); brother, Carl Burns (Lori); grandchildren, Austin Burns, Bryson Burns, and Caleb Burns. Visitation will be held 2:00-4:00 Sunday, March 2, 2025, at Wood Funeral Service. Funeral services will be held  11:00 a.m. Monday at Salem Christian Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Salem Christian Church Cemetery Fund, 871 Mt Mitchel Rd, Drakes Branch, Va. 23937.  Wood Funeral Service is serving the family.
