Clarence O. Hudson, 87, of Chase City, died February 19, 2016. He was the son of the late Oscar William Hudson and Vernia White Hudson. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Mildred Parks Walton, Thelma Franklin, and a brother, Frank Hudson. Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Dorothy Queen Hudson, his son, Chris Hudson and fiancé’, Cathy Taylor; his daughter, Kimberly Hudson Teiser, and husband, Robert; grandson, Brian Teiser; sisters, Virginia Harris and Ruth Black, and a brother, Earl Hudson and wife, Faye. Clarence is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was a master builder, a general contractor, owner, along with his son Chris, of Clarence Hudson General Contractors, a member of Black Branch Baptist Church, a Naval Air Force Veteran of the Korean Conflict, a member of VFW Post 8228 and a former member of Chase City Lions Club. He was, most of all, a loving husband and wonderful father. The family will receive friends at the home at all times. Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, Feb. 22, at Black Branch Baptist Church with the Rev. Gene Burris officiating. Wood Funeral Service, Chase City, is serving the family.
