Margaret Hazelwood Seamster

Margaret Hazelwood Seamster, 70, of Chase City, passed away on July 20, 2017. She was the widow of David Michael Seamster. Margaret was a retired employee of Jones Apparel and a member of the Church of God of Prophecy. She also volunteered at the Chase City Food Bank. She is survived by her children, Judy Songer, Thomas Lewis, Bobby Lewis, Jackie Lewis, brothers, Ronald Hazelwood, Roger Hazelwood, Sam Hazelwood, sisters, Carrie Williams and Mary Newcomb, and 9 grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m.  at Wood Funeral Service. Services will be held Sunday, July 23, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Wood Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Public Fork Christian Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mecklenburg County Cancer Association, P.O. Box 311, Chase City, VA 23924.
