Steve Walter Parks

Steve Walter Parks, 64, of Chase City, passed away on December 11, 2017. He was a self-employed contractor and a member of Black Branch Baptist Church. Steve was an avid hunter who belonged to many hunting clubs and he was a former Dixie Youth Baseball coach. He is survived by his son, T.W. Parks and wife, Jennifer of Chase City, daughter, Sarah Parks of Colonial Heights, sister, Shirley Elliott of South Boston, grandson, Declan Parks, numerous “bird dogs” and close friends. Graveside services will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM at Black Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday 7:00-8:30 PM at Wood Funeral Service, and at all other times, the home of T.W. and Jennifer Parks. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Southside VA Quail Forever, P.O. Box 888 South Hill, VA 23970. Wood Funeral Service, Chase City, is serving the family.
