Melissa Edmonds Claiborne, age 58, of Boydton passed away July 25, 2024. She is preceded in death by her father, Marshall Edmonds. Surviving is her husband, Mark Claiborne; son, Roy Claiborne (Shannon); sister, Sharon Mauck (Randy); brothers, Andy Edmonds (Judy), George Edmonds, James Edmonds; mother, Barbara Edmonds; nephews, Andrew Edmonds, Jacob Edmonds, Dayton Edmonds, Aaron Gwaltney; niece, Kendall Gwaltney, special friends, Tim and Sally Bowers. Services will be held Saturday, August 3, 2024, 11:00 a.m. at Wood Funeral Chapel.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Boydton Vol. Fire Department, PO Box 8, Boydton, Va, 23917.
